L3901 Mid mount PTO ???

Hey guys, I want a front mount snowblower. I'm told my tractor doesn't have a mid PTO. Can I install one ???

I don’t believe the design of the transmission supports the addition of a mid mount PTO. I suppose with some thought and ingenuity a belt driven (from the rear PTO) mid mount could be mounted in the appropriate location, although it’d need to go through a gear box or the right ratio of pulleys to increase the rpm. There’s probably a couple other ways to get there as well.

As an FYI, the Grand L series do support having a mid mount PTO added to them.

No it's not a option on that model.

You could consider an external hydraulic pump on the rear PTO to run a hydraulic blower on the front.

This is the way to go for a standard L.
