Well that's good, I hope they can get it back to you soon. Or provide you with a loaner tractor if needed. We haven't had much new snow down here, hope you are not too close to the lake.

myfirstkubota, I too have a L3901 and I'm glad to hear that Kubota is standing behind their product. I had checked with Kubota to see if the dealer I bought mine from had done the campaign for the PCV valve breather, so I hope I don't have to worry about that problem.

I hope you will be happy with your tractor when you get it back.

Dudes, I'm from Cadillac too! I've heard good things about freeman. My dad and I both have done well by Ina store (and I bought all my stuff used). Let us know how it goes.

Excellent news!

Please make sure to have the dealer put in writing that all updates have been installed...

Hope you love it once you get it back!

Best,

Steve

Good news! I get my tractor back today! New motor, dpf and computer as well as the cold weather update. The dealer said that it was the recirculation valve that froze causing it to suck oil out of the pan. I am happy with the service I received from my dealer and would like to commend Kubota for resolving the issue no question asked. Cant wait until the weather breaks so I can get the garden worked up and get foodplots in. Hope it holds together this go round. Thanks for the replies and I will let you know how its going from time to time. Thanks again!

myfirstkubota,

That's great news!

It's a bummer that it happened, but glad they stepped up and took care of you in a timely manner. Very glad it worked out and hopefully Kubota has earned back a couple of the points they originally lost.

I hope you enjoy your new baby for many years to come. That's a very nice tractor!

Yes, please keep us posted. I'm sure it will be fine and we'd love pics of whatever projects you tackle with it.

Kind regards,

Steve

Myfirstkubota,
I like a couple others close by happen to be the closest living in Boon,
so I know exactly how cold it's been and we now know that Feb 2015
broke the record set in Jan 1912 for being the coldest winter month on
record at an average of 6.2 degrees. My truck wouldn't start on the am
of Feb 23rd when it was -30 degrees and mine's gas not diesel. I've had
all the global warming I can stand this winter and look forward to warm
weather real soon.

The Tier 4 controls are a work in progress no matter what brand of tractor
you buy, and if you did the research I did before I bought my B3030 a few
years ago you'll know you made the best choice in buying the tried and true trusty Kubota. The John Deere line no longer uses the Yanmar diesel that's rated equal in my opinion with Kubota and so far the China diesel engine they use now is not even close to what the Yanmar was at all. As long as the dealer handles the problem your investment is safe and if something else happens in the future beyond the warranty Kubota will again most likely cover it they don't want to tarnish their reputation of high quality at all. Hopefully the upgrade emission system parts will cure the problem and you can rest assured if they figure out anything else to make it more reliable or cure another issue they'll take care of you again too. The emission problems are extremely hard to cure as all manufacturers try and
satisfy the government mandates while making the tractors ( and lots of other diesel powered anything ) run powerfully and reliably. You want nightmare stories check out what's been going on in the heavy duty/semi truck newer vehicles and you'll understand why so many are spending big dollars to keep their old trucks running.

Curious how the tractor has been since the engine replacement?
