Hi there,

I am looking to replace the factory headlight bulbs with LED's for my new L3901. I found a thread from last year that suggested the part number is TC422-30050 and that I can just do a search online for replacement bulbs and reference that part number. I've tried that entire string, and just "TC422" and "30050" and haven't found anything. Any help for finding the right bulbs?

Thanks!

I believe they are "N2" bulbs.

This subject was discussed about one year ago.

Some of the links may no longer be any good.

Your existing headlight bulbs have two 25 watt filaments. 25 watt high and 25 watt low beam. For a comparison, the front turn signal bulbs are 23 watts.

Do not put too many watts inside your existing headlight assembly or heat will damage it.

This is an example of a type of N2 replacement bulb I would be cautious about in view of the 80 watt power consumption.

Your existing fuse and wiring may not like it and further, perhaps too much heat.

I am just suggesting caution rather than install and forget.

So this is part of my confusion. I've seen forum references to people buying these style, which would be different than the N2 style. Are they replacing a portion of the housing?

I admittedly can't look at it directly yet. I have tractor fever as I'm upgrading from my BX2370. The L3901 doesn't arrive for 7-10 days. I like to fix up my toys out of the gate!

did one a while back.

the lens is not a projector, it is a simple reflector lens/housing. it has a tendency to scatter the light more than direct it forward. Better than factory? I can't say whether it is or isn't. Only thing I noticed was that the light output was a whiter color rather than sorta orangish-yellow.
