After seeing Kubota's Auxiliary light kit (which contains 1 light) for almost 300 bucks I wasnt overly impressed. So i decided to build my own which has 4 48w LED's and each one shoots out 3550 lumens. I custom made the brackets out of 1/4" aluminum and painted to match the ROP's, made the wiring harness with 10mm heat shrink tubing (to fit 4 14 gage wires through) along with two relays and a seven pin on-off-on rocker switch (forward position operates front lights and the rear position operates all light).... I think it came out good what do you guys think???

Did you use the spots or flood pattern?

Where did you get the switch? Very nice setup

Great install! I like the fact the button looks factory. Any chance you would be interested in putting a simple wiring schematic together? I understand the use of relays (for the most part) but I'm not sure where you tied into the existing wiring. I also have an L3901. I added an LED light bar but at this point it's just tied to the battery and requires me to remember to shut it off to not kill the battery.

Isn't there an accessory plug/harness somewhere in the rear of the Kubotas? I thought one of the "LED worklight" threads pointed out an easy place to plug in your wiring harness to get switched power. (However, I can't find that thread again, and I can't locate the rear accessory power on my L3430).

There is a worklight plug-in under the left rear fender of my L3800 DT you can actually plug quarter inch wide flat spade into each And pull your power from there. I am actually in process of doing a light project as well.

Good job.
The price of the LED Light units have really come down within the last year, when building my cab recently, I bought all mine on Amazon.ca, the 5" square ones with 9 diodes were $44.00 for TWO, the smaller oval side lights with 6 diodes were $38.00 for two, and my center 14" light bar was $79.00

And the lighting capacity is amazing.

There is a plug for auxiliary lighting on the L3901 but it only uses a 10 amp fuse so to use that would limit the lighting wattage

I found the plug thanks! I am going to run this power to a relay to provide power direct from the battery.

Nice looking install. you will find them to be very useful when using your loader at night. You will be able to see your bucket level indicator which you can not with just the headlights. I used mine a lot on my B2650 this last week with all the snow we got here in NE Ohio and worked great.

You did a great job!

I just ordered the factory Kubota rear light kit but it was $85. It only has one light, but I like that the light has a switch built into the back and it plugs right into the plug under the left fender. It's a clean installation at a reasonable cost, so I went with it. Certainly not a much light as your set up though.
