It might be too obvious, but I'm thinking start simple. Check hydraulic fluid level first. I'm not sure on a GST transmission, but I believe it's all the same oil and reservoir.

Next to that, I've had bad luck with hydraulics on my L48. There is a mini driveshaft on the front of the engine that runs a dual hydraulic pump, under the battery. That shaft has broke free on mine twice. When that goes, I loose all hydraulics except the swing on the backhoe (that's on a third pump, go figure!) The last time putting things back together, I found the pump wasn't aligned to the engine.

After that, it could be plugged filters, water in the oil....

Good luck and keep us posted

thank you very much for your coments . i have considered that and if the problem was just with the hydraulics i would be inclined to agree . in this case however . nothing is working . no drive at all . no hydrilics at all . no power steering . somebody sujested . the clutch . maybe main shaft broken as there seams to be no comunication from the engine to the drive or pumps . thanks again for any insights

I agree about the clutch for movement but that doesn't make sense that the hydraulics being out. They're usually run directly off the engine.
Sounds like there may be another issue also.
