l3800 tractor lift arms

Tired to get the bush hog installed on my l3800 and excersize in futility. Had the right one on with no problems this is an adjustable arm. ok get the top link hooked up no problems. Left link is non adjustable and the section that has the hole for the link pin is about 2" higher than the right one. Stuck a digging bar under the bush hog to try and lift it high enough so's I could slide a briick in under the left side to raise it up high enough. No go and its only me. I was wondering if i were to buy another right handed adjustable lift arm and install it as it is adjustable and should solve my problems. Any suggestions as to wether or not this will work. From looking at the setup looks like it should work. Thanks,Frank

GWD gives you some great advice. We also have the Pat's quick hitch. Albeit a bit more pricey than the speedo, there is no danger of clipping your fenders or other stuff with them. Also, check out fixed/movable lower arm adjusters made by Hodge (on this site). Those and Pat's quick hitch will make your 3 point hook up a quick cinch. My wife can hook up all our 3 point stuff by herself now. No more crowbars, 3 lb. hammers, San Angelo bars and a complete lack of naughty words now to hook up.

Hodge is on this site and Pat's quick hitch was referenced above by GWD. Get the right stuff for the jobs and you won't regret it.

The product is fine but do not buy from Pats website because the return policy is a joke, no spacer bar, plus you will pay about $60 more than if you bought from Rural King: http://www.ruralking.com/pats-easy-c...t-1-w-bar.html. Even Amazon is a lot less.

try using the safety chain on the shaft protector clip it to the support frame works for me
