Rockley is in Nova Scotia but even people from Nova Scotia don't know it. The population is around 14 or so. At least that is from my own census I just took in my head. lol

Old Yeller used to be a lobster boat and general inshore fishing for things like haddock and halibut. I bought it to use as a pleasure boat including a little fishing. This year I put a brand new Evinrude E Tec 150 hp on her and this is an amazing motor but due to her size and weight the hull speed is low. This motor would push a planing boat like a bass boat to 60 mph but my max speed is around 25 mph and at this speed it rivals the USS Missouri for fuel economy. I cruise around at about 8 nts. Because she was designed as a working boat in the North Atlantic she can handle more big seas than I have the beans for lol. I have had waves going right over top before though.
I generally take her out when the weather is good.
Old Yeller and my lovely L3800 are my prized possessions and like I said before they seem to be a great match.

Aye she looks to be a good solid stable craft. Yeah they aint made for speed, thats for sure, but then a bass boat would never handle the big water like she does.
Wonder if you have tried a set of Dolfins on the out drive fins I put a set on my old Bayliner and lord what a difference it made for coming up on plane and improved fuel use too. I think I would have about a dozen crab pots and lobster traps set being on the big blue like that,,lol

The hull is glass and the wheelhouse is wood.
The glass is over 3/4 inch thick though.

What is really cool is the winterization of these E-Tec motors. It takes less than a minute and automatically fogs the motor.

WOW,, wish they would have had that when I had mine
O really? Funny but the way I remember it, when Noah (I think you used to call him Noe?) suggested it, you said, "Naw, we won't need it, the rain is gonna let up any minute." Noah kept complaining about that 'till the day he died! :D:D:D

"It went smoothly but this boat is HEAVY!"

Pulled the transom drain plug lately? Does it "slosh?"

:D

(Its actually neat looking our of the water. Looks like the super-structure was all made out of plywood.)

I have two bilge pumps and keep the drain plug open but she is a very dry boat and the pumps don't come on much.
Yeah the wheelhouse is made of marine plywood.
This is not Donald Trump's yacht but she is solid and seaworthy and a lot of fun. I don't worry about scratching her or wiping my feet. lol
