The L3750DT I recently purchased had 12-16.5 on the front. I’m not sure this was done out of necessity or not. I see specs say 9.5-16 are the largest that you’re supposed to run. I’m replacing them and just wanted opinions on what to put on it. TIA
Yes. That’s how it was when I bought it and trying to get everything right on it. So I’m searching for wheels and tires now. One of the rears has a rusted out valve stem, so I have to replace it anyway.Color me baffled:
You have:
F 12-16.5
R 14.9-24
You're supposed to have:
F 9.5-16
R 13.6-28
They have too tall of tires on the front and too small of tires on the rear.
I amazed there are any gears in it that still work.
Your going to need to get RC (rolling circumference) numbers on the rear tires you have to see what size front tires you should be running.
Added edit:
What style of tires are these?
Betting 12-16.5 are R4's
And the 14.9-24 are R1's
The fronts are also really wide, which is incredibly hard on the hubs and bearings.
Thanks. I am certainly going to do that.im replacing all the hydraulic hoses at the moment but it will be the next thing. Sitting on a small slope at the moment. Thanks for taking the time to help me.Quick and easy way to tell if the tires are an issue or not.
Do you have a hard flat surface there?
If you do, with the tractor not running engage the 4wd and try and push the tractor.
If it will move more than about 10 feet without binding up, then the ratio is right.
If it binds up, then you definitely need to change rims and tires.
