L3710 front tire size

I have a L3710 that was previously owned. One of the front tires dry rotted so we are looking to replace both front tires. They are 8.3-16. The rear tires are 14.9-24. In order to keep the front tires an acceptable ratio for 4x4, would an 8-16 be ok (we can find this size easily)? Or do we need to stick with a 8.3-16? Thanks!

According to the owners manual, it sounds like your machine already has a mismatched set of tires on it. 8.3-16 is listed as a turf size, and 14.9-24 and Ag size. See attachments from the manual. Hopefully someone can chime in and calculate the proper lead-lag ratio for ya.

you should have 4 ag tires or 4 turf tires on the tractor NOT mismatched.
1st decide HOW the tractor is to be used, farming(ag) or grass cutting(turf)
2nd now price out the proper set of tires.....
You might want to check online Kubota for tire choices,they'll sell tire on rim, with air cheaper than just a tire !

So we purchased the tractor used and these tires were on it. They both appear to be Ag tires. I will attach pictures. But the rear tires are in good condition so we prefer to keep them. We found 8-16 on the rims for a fraction of the price so we were hoping this would be an ok ratio with the 14.9-24. We do want to stay with ag tires. But if it will throw off the 4x4 we will spend the money for the 8.3-16.

The difference between the 8-16 and 8.3-16 doesn't seem that much. Still I'd wait for someone more experienced to chime in. If your getting new rims, make sure they are lugcentric, have the same bolt pattern, and similar offset. Given there isn't a loader on the machine, you can probably get away with 4-ply tires.
