Have a new to me Kubota Grand L3600GST. I was told it is around a 2000 yr model but all the tags are worn and unreadable. My problem is the other day went to shift from Forward to Reverse and noticed there was no "tension" or resistance when moving the shuttle shifter from Forward to Reverse. It seemed like it had become disconnected in a sense in that you could move the shuttle shift well past where normally you would stop to get it into forward or reverse. To get it to operate I have to move the shuttle shift to its last position (forward or reverse) and then if I press down on the shuttle shift lever as i move it, it seems to then shift it out of forward/reverse and back to neutral. Then using the same downward pressure slide it to forward or reverse. I always have the clutch pressed when changing from forward to reverse. I've noticed there is some play in the bearing near the upper portion.

From the way you're describing this, kindly have a look at the drawing from my L35 (also with Shuttle shift)
Do you think that the circled part (universal joint) has broken or come loose?

Also look at part 060 the spring. The spring in your picture doesn't look OEM.
Thoughts?

Also notice part 160 Could yours have slipped off the shaft?

U joint turns, seems fine. I'm going to look more into the connection towards the bottom part 170/190 were it appears there is supposed to be a pin in place. Maybe my pin is missing or has come out. I'' report back.

Thanks
