I'm new to this forum and hoping to find some answers. I have a L3600 that I have owned for about 16 years and has been practically bullet proof. I now have a couple issues that I sure need some help with. First my PTO won't shut off and runs continually. My tractor is used primarily for mowing so I usually have my Woods finish mower attached and I know how dangerous this is with or without the mower on. Secondly I have just completed changing the fluid and the filter on the transmission because it was getting slow about changing gears and had just a little "shudder" when either changing gears or directions. After the service it has not improved. Tractor has 1260 hours on it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome to OTT Vettes. I am sure Wolfman can help better than I can. Was the problem with the PTO not shutting off before the fluid and filter change or only after?
