L3560LE 4WD HST

After continuing my research (including much helpful advice on this forum), I think I have decided to go with the L3560LE over the L2501. After getting quotes from my dealer for both, it seems that the $5k difference is relatively small for what seems to be much more tractor -- weight, width, lift capacity, features, hp, ergonomics, etc. all outweight the ~20% higher price tag.

The L3560LE can be paired with either a LA555 loader or a LA805 loader. The spec sheets on the Kubota website indicate that the LA805 has a lift capacity of 1,715lbs vs 1,190lbs for the LA555. The LA805 is $875 more than the LA555 per my dealer. At the bottom of the spec sheet, there is an indication that such specs are taken from the L3560 for the LA555 and taken from the L4060 for the LA805. I have copied the spec sheet below for your reference.

Question for you: Does the LA805 truly provide 525lbs greater lift capacity on a L3560? My understanding is that the additional 5hp of the L4060 should not affect loader lift capacity, but I am a newbie to the tractor world. I don't want to throw away hard-earned money for an upgraded loader if I'm not truly going to get the additional lift capacity with my L3560. Thank you.

I would trust the spec sheet. You might try searching for the weights of the respective units to provide an indication of their relative stoutness. Good luck.

I would definitely go with the 805. It’s not much of a cost to add a lot more capacity.

Over the likely course of ownership 5k isn’t much at the value of todays dollar…not much at all. If it turns out you are not happy you will easily be able to trade it straight up for anything smaller…it would not be difficult to find some willing to trade for it. Regarding your question you can expect the product to match the specs…it’s not my money or property to say what you need, but if it’s a toss up, now is the time to decide, and that is whether you choose to wait for an L or a B or whatever. In general when you look at a either a B or BX, that’s the buy in price to join the game. Once you buy in, it’s really not much more for a little more machine…it’s real money but it’s really not much when you consider inflation….think of it as an asset. On paper sure it’s devalued to an accountant over time, but you will not wear it out and the replacement value will not be comparable in the future so it will be worth what you paid or more if it’s taken care of.

Not according to the quotes I got from my dealer....Each equipped with 4wd, R4 tires and a 3rd function valve came out to a price difference of $5,029. And that is with the LA805 loader on the L3560. I'll be able to get bigger box blade with the L3560, so that will cost a couple hundred bucks more.

Sounds like a deal to me. When you compare the 2501 with HST and 4WD with the LA525 to the 3560 LE with the LA805 on the Build My Kubota web site, the 2501 comes up at $24,293 vs the 3560 at $31,956 for a difference of about $7400 so if you getting it at only a $5000 difference you're doing very well. The 3560 LE is a terrific tractor and certainly worth the price difference in my book. Regarding your original question about FEL lift capacity, it don't think it makes any difference if it's on the 3560 or the 4060. I'd recommend the 805 if you can get one. That said, as with all things these days some tractors and some FEL's are available now at some dealers and some are a long wait. I have heard the LA805's have been in very short supply lately. Yes, the loader specs are driven only by loader geometry and rams. It makes no difference which 60 series model you attach it to - they all deliver the same hydraulic flow and pressure, and all weigh about the same. So you're genuinely getting that additional capacity.

I agree with everyone else. Compared to the price you have on an L2501, that sounds like a massively better machine for not much more money, so you should buy it. Small tractors still have all the same parts as a big tractor, the parts are just a bit smaller. Bigger tractors don't cost that much more.

Of course, if you look closely, an MX isn't much more money either, and that's also a lot more machine.......

I have a L3301 and L3560LE. Both have loaders.
I believe the 3301 has a 525. 3560 has the 805.
3560 has significantly more lift power than the 3301.
3560 has impressed me with it's capabilities.
That said, I also have a MX5400. I use the 3560 for every task possible.

For only $5K more…the L3560LE is the clear choice.

When I was last in the market, I remember the L3560 being much closer to $10K more than the L2501. I probably would have still gone with the L3560 but, my garage door isn’t tall enough to fit the L3560, even with ROPs folded and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving such a fine machine outside.

I pulled the trigger on the L3560LE with the LA805 loader and R4 tires! My dealer needs a few weeks for the R4 tires to arrive, and to install the 3rd function valve and remote. Very excited! Thank you all for your helpful advice.

I have an L3560 with the LA805 loader, it's a great combination. Not just for the bucket but for the pallet forks and my skeleton rock bucket. You made a great choice, the L3560 is a lot heavier machine.
