L3560 Steering

My L3560 steering has no solid stops at full left or right
Steering wheel continues to turn after steering has reached its limit
Steering shaft from steering wheel to steering motor is operating correctly with no slippage
Is this a common issue?

Yes, you have hydrostatic steering. The wheel can continue to spin and not be in the same orientation all the time like a mechanical system.

Sometimes folks here will say their Kubota emblem in the steering wheel hub is not oriented upright like it should. Same deal. Will be different tomorrow, too.

Last week was first time on blacktop county road.
Steering wheel will make several revolutions in a 3 mile stretch from making small steering corrections
Is that a normal characteristic?

Just hadn’t noticed it under normal operation around the farm.

The steering controller, i.e. steering valve can act as a pump when the engine is stopped. Called a GEROTOR for Generated Rotor.

Because there is no mechanical link between the steering wheel and the front wheels a way needed to be found to maintain steering if the engine stopped and you were going down a long hill.

The GEROTOR, which acts as the control valve to direct the steering of the front wheels, becomes a pump and continues to direct the steering albeit with greater effort.
