Hi, this is my first tractor and I am a little confused on how to adjust down pressure on my three point. On my settings 1-8 there is no difference from 1 to 4. I would like to have more pressure on my box blade, it just barely scrapes the ground. Looking at the back of the tractor the right arm is adjustable bt srewing it out or in, but that only changes the one side? I'm not sure why thats even a thing, it only makes your implement unlevel. Im sure there are reasons, and I am looking for some pointers please. I would like my box blade to dig more than it is (none) other than just adjusting the top link for angle. Thank you!

There is no down pressure except gravity. The weight of the implement is what provides the 3-pt down pressure.

The 3-pt only has pressure lifting the items.

A little further explanation. The adjustable arm is used to create a crown or dig a ditch (to offset the implement). The top link can be used to change the angle of cut of implement by change the top link in and out.

As B mentioned - no down pressure. BUT you can add weight to the box blade. Cider blocks - concrete formed to shape.

I take it your box blade does NOT have scarifiers????? They can hang low and scape hard packed soil and are adjustable to depth of cut.

Like they said no down pressure.
FYI: A box blade doesn't really dig, it just scrapes.
It's best use is on loose material.
Use rippers ( scarifiers ) to loosen hard surfaces, then scrape off the loose stuff.
You make it "Scrape more material" by shortening the top link not the side link. ;)

Thanks for the information. How about the different holes on the arms? It came in the furthest back hole with two holes remaining behind. Before your replies I thought maybe moving to the furthest forward hole would help. What would a man use those for?

That should adjust the height of the lift arms on the implement end at full up and full down. I’ve also found it useful to set those at mismatching positions once in a while as an augmentation to the previously mentioned adjustable height on the one lift arm when I want an implement at a severe angle. Photo is an example of that.
