Anyone have info on rebuilding procedure I rebuilt the dipper and the bucket cylinders. Just want to see if I can rebuild the swing cylinders by moving the backhoe to each side somehow and rebuilding in place. Thanks an info is appreciated.

No experience with L35, but I think you'll be able to pull the swing pins and put seal kits in the cylinders without taking them off/out.

In the Kubota BT900 backhoe parts lists there are two versions of the swing cylinders. (Looks like 2 different sizes.) Except for the pivot lugs on the tube, the basic internal construction is like the other hydraulic cylinders. There are 2 versions of seal parts kit so need to nail down which version yours takes. Good luck, Dick B.

I pulled mine out when I did them, it really wasn’t too bad I prefer to work like a gentleman even if it takes me an extra hour or so to move stuff out of the way or in this case remove the cylinders. Let us know how you make out if you give it a shot! As far as seal kits as long as you know your serial number it’s easy to figure. Higher than one serial number and lower than the other is how you tell which kit you need, the cutoff is on the expanded parts diagram, available online.

I did them on the tractor wasn’t to bad . I did the bucket, dipper, both swing and 1 stabilizer figure I wait till the boom leaks to deal with that disaster. Then I took my son to the skatepark Sunday night and fractured my elbow good times. Anyway thanks for the info.

Yeah the boom is fun, been there on mine. Lift the rear up with the outriggers, support underneath the tractor. Swing boom all the way off to one side and undo boom pins. Jack up the boom and the piston will have enough clearance to slide out.
