I have a new to me L3450 DT7 Can anyone tell me what the "7" means? I know what the DT means but not the 7. Also, how many horsepower does it have? In some placces it says 30hp and others 38 hp. Did they make different engines with different horsepower or what?

Don't know what the 7 means.

The first two numbers are usually the HP, but our 3750DT has 45hp.

Where are you getting the "L3450DT7" from?

Give me the whole model and serial# (right side of the transmission tunnel) and I'll should be able to tell you exactly what it is.

Do you have the service or operators manuals for it yet?

I will get the whole model and serial number later today and send it. I got the L3450 DT 7 from one of the plates on the tractor. It was not the engine serial number, The DT 7 is on a plate on the frame of tractor. Yes I down loaded an operators manual for the L3450 and I purchased a workshop manual through a local dealer TThe workshop manual says it has 30 HP but several websites say it has 37 hp I bought the tractor from a dealer in Harrisonburg, Virginia who told me it had 37 hp. That dealer bought it at auction. It was owned by an older guy who willed it to his son when he passed. The son had no use for it, so the dealer says. It had a bad water pump on it when I bought it, which I have since replaced. I really like the tractor and use it to bush hog, till, maintain gravel drive, pull small Locus trees out to clear land. I maintain 24 acres.
