Hello all,

I have a L3450, steering leaks badly at the ram/cylinder. looking at the parts diagram it appears only the two bolts hold the left and right caps that house the orings/seals.

With the bolts out it separarted from the axle housing but it will not slide off the ram/shaft. I do not want to bang on it to much. I see no clips in person or in the parts diagram.

ANy advice? Doubt this is super model specific. Maybe it is 30 Years of wearing a groove/ring like rings in a v8?

Chris

Nevermind,

loosened both side and worked it loose. It has a alignment pin. it has to be pulled out ~1/2" before it can be slide off the ram.

I was just going to tell you that after reading the first post.

Your leak is more likely the rod gasket (seal) than the O-ring.
