Has anyone ever added a cooler for the trans/diff oil ? when I run it for a long time oil come out around the gearshift..maybe because its gets thinner as it gets hot and is more likely to be slashed out.

Your problem is a faulty seal on the gear shift.

It depends on the manual transmission design but I'd consider an oil cooler over kill on most Kubota manuals. Manuals generate heat pretty slowly and combined with the huge mass of oil and iron and large surface area it's got to dissipate the heat it would have to be worked hard continuously on a hot day get into the danger zone temperature wise. That said it wouldn't be that hard. Just plumb it inline with the pickup for the hydraulic pump. I'm pretty sure it's a shared system on that machine.

I would bet that your seal is fine, but your trans vent is plugged. Mine behaved exactly as you describe until I found the vent problem. Mine is located under the seat on the left side, it's a piece of tubing sort of shaped like a question mark. Check that first.
