A friend was using my tractor while I was at work at my auto repair shop.

He said all of a sudden all hydraulics quit. Tractor won’t move, no bucket, no back hoe and no steering. No warning messages on dash.

Hydraulic fluid is full and very clean. Was changed at about 600 hrs by dealer. Has 670 hrs now. I changed eng oil and filter about 10 hrs ago.

I went through 300 plus messages but didn’t see anything I thought could be the problem.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

First thought without looking at manuals, hydraulic pump, or hydraulic drive shaft/spline.
IIRC, this model runs everything from this pump, including HST.
EDIT: Just noticed yours is GST, but appears to be similar.

Pull the Hydraulic pump and drive case and fully inspect it. ;)

Dear 100td & Idaho Wolfman,

Thank you very much for your help. I loosened the banjo bolt at the relief valve from the pump and started the tractor. No hydraulic oil came out so I followed your advise and removed the pump. Unfortunately, the bearing that supports the small gear failed which damaged both gears and broke the splined shaft off the end of the pump. About $1300 in parts. Ouch! I guess the wolves were chasing me today.

Anyway, thank you both again for taking the time to help me with my question.

Best wishes, Mike
