L3400 jerky 3PH

I know this is a common problem for the L3400 tractors but has Kubota made any attempt to find a fix for the jerking 3PH when lifting? That is the most annoying factor on my tractor. I have a L2850 and the lift is silk smooth on it. Seems that Kubota is following the trend to cheapen the quality of their tractors.:confused

I suppose the excuse is that smaller tractors are not suited to fine earth grading or other work where draft control is critical. My small BX is an irritation in this regard, but for snow plowing and raising and lowering the MMM, it functions OK. I've had two other make tractors of about equal weight and power and it was a disappointment when I found the BX to be so crude. I shudda tried it out first I suppose.

Maybe not but I can see a lot of places where they have cheapened up the 3400. I wouldn't trade my 2850 for 2 3400's.

Your 2850 is in a different class. The L3200, 3400 & 3800 are basic L series. The L2850 is in the Grand L class and should be compared to the L3240 or want ever the smallest grand is now. Nothing has been "cheapened up", just different models in different price ranges.

I'm kind of in a similar situation, having a old L3750 and a newer L3800. The 3750 is 1300 lbs heavier, has 45 hp, a silky smooth 3 pt & a much larger FEL. But I still like the L3800 better, because of size and it's in much better shape. The 3750 is much larger and had a long rough life.

The 00 in the model # means it's in the basic L family.

The 50, 30, 40, 60, etc as the last two #s means it in the Grand L family. More $, features, weight, lift, etc...
