L3302 vs lX3310

I am looking to buy a new tractor since I sold my 2001 DT3000 with a FEL to a neighbor and looking to get something similar in size since it barely fits in my shed

What are the pros & cons for each tractor. There is only @$600 between the 2 tractors. Both have FEL

I currently have 100 ac in NE PA and mow about 2ac of clover plots and ATV trails through out the property. My other food plots I have no problem using ATV equipment each year on my existing plots. I used to have a tiller & disc that I sold for the ATV equipment because it was a pain in the neck changing out the equipment.

What would the better choice be.

The L3302 is significantly heavier/stronger with more lift height, it has no midpto, and can’t be fitted with a mid mount mower. Weight is helpful pulling ground engaging implements.

The LX3310 has a midpto, can be fitted with a midmount mower or front snowblower. Some people say the ergonomics and comfort is better on the LX compared to an L.

One other thing to note, according to info posted here LXs don’t have glow plugs. I think the L does. Glow plugs are beneficial for starting in cold weather.

I’d also consider the L3560LE, L4060LE, and L3902

My LX2610 SU has glow plugs, and I am sure the other LXs do too.

The L3302 and LX 3310 have very similar capabilities, but the L3302 does have about a 10% edge in loader (weight and height). Does that make a difference? - only you can answer that question.

The LX3310 has a mid-PTO. Will you need/want a mid-PTO? My LX2610 SU does not have a mid-PTO, but I have no need for one.

The LX3310 has better ergonomics (loader stick by your hip versus out in front of you), and the LX 3310 has a more comfortable seat.

You really ought to, if possible, see them in person. Otherwise download their respective brochures, and watch as many youtube reviews as you can stand.

Where are you buying the wheels and tires? I have a LX2610 (Rops with MMM) and want to buy a set of wheels and R3 turf tires for mowing Go to your dealer salesman (not parts) and get them through Kubota Wholegoods. You can't buy a rim or a tire for the price they sell the set for. I just got 4...

L is a bigger machine. More metal for your money. It's what you should buy, unless you have a specific reason to want an LX.

Usual reasons to want an LX are:

• something you do is weight limited - you want to trailer it, you don't want too much weight on your lawn, you drive over your septic field, whatever. The LX is noticeably lighter
• you want a cab, or you need a mid-PTO for an implement (snow blower, mid mower etc). L is not available with factor cab, or with a mid-PTO
• you value ergonomics and some luxury features more than you value raw capability. The LX is a "nicer" machine, the L is an economy machine that's bigger/stronger. You can only judge this by sitting on both / using both. I think I'd lean towards the L, even though I do like some of those ergonomic features. I'd get more pleasure from a sturdier machine than I would from a more luxurious machine

When you look at the specs the L doesn't look that more powerful. But remember that the L lifts higher - so although it only lifts a little more to max height, it lifts quite a bit more to 1500mm. And it's heavier, lots of tractor tasks are really about weight more than power.

I am probably going to order the L3302 with fel. This would be more than a I ever will need for basically brush hogging fields and trails a few times each season. The FEL will come in handing for pushing dead trees off the trails every now and than

Based on your listed tasks, one final thing to think about - an LX2610SU; it would save you about $5,500 (based on MSRPs). It will do anything the L3302 will in a practical sense, but it might do the PTO tasks ever so slightly slower. Of course, it does not have a DPF - a big part of the lower cost and one less complex system on your tractor. An in between cost option would be the L2501.

EDIT: Actually the L2501 is the same price as the LX 2610 SU. When I purchased my LX SU, it was $2,000 less than the L2501.

Just to add my $0.02.... the LX3310 does have a intake heater for cold starts. Also with any LX series tractor that does NOT have a cab you can get the bigger L series tires on it. My LX2610HST scales out to 3,555 pounds without operator loader, big L series size R4 tires with the tests loaded with RimGuard with a quick hitch an a cheap 6' back blade. In my case I have limited use for the PTO and 20hp is enough. But in the woods the L is just to big to maneuver between the trees. Truth be told the LX I have to do a number of multiple point turns in places but my old B7510 just couldn't lift enough weight or get stuff high enough.

A bit of (unsolicited) forestry advice from a forester. If a 5’ tractor won’t fit between trees, it’s time to thin your forest.

A couple of the things that I wanted to add to the L3302HST

I wanted a couple of weld holds $18. to the 66 inch quick attach bucket. I actually wanted the 60 inch bucket but dealer said its not a quick attached.

M1000 tire ballast $113

Landpride 60 inch rotary mower $2700

Telescope stabilizer kit for $470. When I had my old kubota DT3000 I cant tell you how many turn knuckles I bent or broke over 15 years.

cruise control for $300. I figured it would be better for mowing for a couple of hours.

Total about $38K

Just got the call from the dealer. Tractor is ready but I need to tell dealer that I cant pickup tractor until the first week of March

I decided to opt for my own financing to save $1200 & pretty sure I wont get the extending warranty, I will also contact my homeowners to see about theft insurance.

Is there anything else I should be looking at
