My power steering started feelin like it wasn't workin yesterday . if I gave it a bit more throttle it started feeling better . It hasn't done that in the past . I went all through the FSM & owners man & I can't find anywhere a power steering pump or reservoir
anywhere . I can find mention of a steering hose but thats it . Does this tractor have a separate pimp & reservoir
or does it use the tractors hydraulics for power steering ?
thanks

The main hydraulic pump on the L3301 is a tandem pump. One section is used for tractor hydraulics and the other section for power steering. They share a common supply line. The WSM explains it on great detail

Very unlikely to be a pressure issue, it's more likely a seal issue or a controller issue.
Explain in great detail what happens and when it happens.

What were you doing at the time with it? Did you have a fully loaded bucket? Are the tires inflated properly? A heavy bucket load will require more to make the steering feel like it’s working the same.

My L3301 has very weak power steering until I press the HST pedal or at the least a little movement of the tractor. I have read somewhere that, that is normal.

Bucket was empty . I was pulling into my shop to lift my lathe & I couldn't turn the wheel to make the turn . I tried backing up & turning & still nothing , I would try to turn the steering wheel & it would turn maybe 5 degrees which is the play in the system & then it would feel like I had hit something . I gave it a bit more throttle then everything was fine . My wife drove it home afterwards @ 1 1/5 miles & no problems . On my old Case 580's they would act the same way if they were low on steering fluid . I'll order up a pair of transmission & hydraulic filters & change them .
