If it helps, I have less HP but basically the same tractor, L2800.Are there any L3200 owners that can chime in? Good machine? Likes? Dislikes? thanks.
Ive had my 3200 since it was basically new (12hrs on it when I got it), only around 220 hrs on it now over the three years I have had it, but no issues with it to speak of.Are there any L3200 owners that can chime in? Good machine? Likes? Dislikes? thanks.
I would think 6 ft would be pretty slow going if you are only mowing a few times a year.Yes, I was planning on buying a 6' bush hog. Mine is a 5' and I'd like to go bigger. Thats why im considering the L3200. According to the bush hog website the L2600 has just enough power. Would you agree?
Not enough horsepower?I would think 6 ft would be pretty slow going if you are only mowing a few times a year.
The L3200 has 26 pto hp, which if you stick with the general 5 hp per foot rule would leave you with the 5 ft bush hog. I can only speak from my experience with the 5 ft that I can bog the tractor in thick grass about 8-10 inches tall, but I am also mowing with it set as low as it will go. My suggestion would be if you get the tractor is to use the 5 ft you currently have and see how it performs in your conditions and go from there. Another thing is you will want front weights on the tractor. I usually remove the loader from mine when I mow and the front end gets pretty light, I use the split brakes to help steer it at times. Not enough horsepower?
Good advice, thanks. Sounds like I should stick with the 5' shredder. The L3200 has 26 pto hp, which if you stick with the general 5 hp per foot rule would leave you with the 5 ft bush hog. No problem. And as far as the tractor itself I don’t have any complaints (I got mine unexpectedly and for the right priceGood advice, thanks. Sounds like I should stick with the 5' shredder.
In as much as you deal with emissions junk everyday, you know it will....No problem. And as far as the tractor itself I don’t have any complaints (I got mine unexpectedly and for the right price). It was bought in 2014 I believe, I got it in 2017 and it had 12 hrs. Only thing I have done to it is change oil every spring, I replace the fuel and air filter to every spring. Ive changed hydraulic fluid and filter on it. Its the last L series in that hp range without the emissions so I would expect it to last a long time given its still a mechanical engine.
I love emissionsIn as much as you deal with emissions junk everyday, you know it will....![]()
Thanks again for the good info. So the 2013 L3200 doesnt have any emissions? I thought anything over 25 hp had something. Not doubting you, I'd just like to know what Im buying. Thanks! No problem.
