I am in need of brake lights on the tractor that I can tap in to and provide lights to a trailer I need to pull on road. After reading several post it seems there are no factory provisions for brake light switch on the l3200-4400 except for the grand. Has any one added this or a 7 pin connector to the back for this use? I would like to pull my RV less than 3 miles to where I store it with out having to go pickup my tow vehicle( stored at my parents house)

Not sure what state you are in, but like the above post. The orange triangle, flashers, and hand signals are all that are needed. Some states require an implement of farm be hooked to the tractor to be legal. Others just the sign.

Flashers can be found at Harbor Fright on the cheap like 10 or 15 bucks

Does your L3200 have flashers?
I wouldn't worry about a brake light but flashers and maybe turn signals would be good, and Yes hang a slow moving triangle on the back!

Thanks for the replies guys. I think the flashers being hooked up would be fine. I just don't want to get rear ended by some moron.

Have someone follow you with their flashers on. Also like murphy said, put a slow moving vehicle triangle on it, if anything happens your insurance will like you a little better. JMHO:)

The results are in. The tractor handled the newly made 3 point hitch to receiver and RV very well. I could not even tell it was back there. Below is a picture just after the trailer was unhooked.

A few stats for you numbers guys.
Tongue weight: 978lbs
Total trailer weight: 7130lbs
The trailer does use electric brakes but I did not have them hooked up. When I needed to stop I only let off the throttle and the engine braked the rig enough.

Maybe I am thinking too simple but can't you just get power from the tractor, use some handheld or magnetically mounted toggle switch bank to control the trailer lights through the 7 pin connector.

When you know you are slowing just turn on the brake lights with a toggle switch.

Use momentary close toggles so they turn off when released.

IF you need the turn signals I think you could wire up a flasher in line with alternate switches and turn it on and off as needed.

Use a quick disconnect at the tractor power connection and take off the toggle switch wiring when not needed.

It depends on where you are and traffic. I darn near rear-ended a piece of farm equipment behind a truck going to a shop in town on a 40 mph road. Absolutely no lights, reflectors, etc. That's too nice a trailer to cave in the back end.

Cerlawson. This is kinda what I initially thought too. I must drive on roads where the speed limit is 45 mph but people often drive 65-70 and pass on the double line.

Update: I recently was able add a 7 way connector to the tractor. I was not able to hook up brake lights but I was able to use turn signals/hazards and running lights. I only hope this will keep idiots from killing me or my RV.
