Today I replaced the air filter. The new filter has an outer as well as inner filter.
When I took off the old filter there was only the outer filter.
Anyone know why there would be no inner? Could this be a running change that Kubota made?

My 2014 L3800 only had the outer filter from the factory, I installed the inner filter when it was new.

The cleaner the better when it comes to incoming air in a diesel. Generally two outer filters to one inner replacement. Doesent hurt to replace both though.

Thanks to all!

I had no idea that the inner filter was an option. Considering how dusty it is around here it's probably a good idea to use it.

Just be happy your tractor comes with the radial seal filters at all. My L3000 had the old type and I had to change the entire filter system on mine.

The Grand L's come with both filters from the factory. I guess Kubota can't afford to install both on the base model machines.
