My grandfather has a L3010 GST that had several hydraulic leaks on the front end loader. It has recently gotten to where it will barely move in forward or reverse. I removed the front end loader and it made it a little better. Any ideas on why it is so slow? Do these have any notorious problems? I have no problems working on engines a transmission man I am not.

Probably not your main clutch. It has a hydraulic clutch that runs in fluid, it releases between gear shifts and is held in by pressure from the power steering pump, may want to check pressure from that should be around 350 lbs.. does your ps work?

If the Manual clutch is bad you can change range because the range is after the it's after the hydraulic clutch.
If it has a Independent PTO it doesn't use the main clutch.
Just because the power steering is working, it does not mean the GST control is actually receiving flow and pressure.

If you want to properly trouble shoot it, get the WSM and it will walk you through the entire testing procedure, and give you all the pressure numbers.
