Hi everyone,

I have a L3010 GST and it won't turn over. When I turn the key, the dash lights up but when I turn the ignition the lights go out and nothing happens. All the wiring seems in place best I can tell. I checked the battery, terminals and tested the starter. Everything works.

Any ideas?

Nothing is 100% from afar, however this appears to be a classic bad battery or bad battery connection, as when a load is applied, either the battery can not supply the load, or the poor connection fails. Remove and clean battery terminals and ground connections, check battery. If you can jump start the tractor it proves the previous points.

Thanks for the reply! Guess I should've clarified, I eliminated it being a battery or bad terminal problem and it won't jump start. I used a light bulb tester and it's getting power all the way to the starter. Could this mean it's a ground issue?

I may have missed something in your statements.
I checked the battery, terminals and tested the starter. Everything works.
So the engine cranks with the installed battery when jumpered at the starter from main terminal to solenoid?

You have power to the solenoid spade terminal on the starter?

Have you removed and cleaned the main negative battery lead both ends?
I'm all assuming you've also checked all safety interlocks like seat, PTO, clutch, neutral/gear select etc?
Could simply be a bad key switch as well.
