I am trying to change all the fluids on the L295DT I bought last year. In the manual it says:
- Change front diff-gear case oil (left and right) 2.1qt Gear Oil SAE90
- Change front wheel shaft oil (right and left) 1.6qts Gear Oil SAE90

Are these The only two places that need gear oil changed? (Nothing on the rear?)

Anyone have links to a tutorial?

Are the capacities total? In other words I drain the differential from the bottom and then put 1 quart in the right and 1 quart in the left to equal 2 quarts? Drain the front wheel shafts and put .8 quarts in either side to equal 1.6 quarts?

Do I just use 80W/90 gear oil?

Also on my left front wheel hub seems to be leaking oil. It’s all on the inside of the rim and down the tire. Any thoughts on the repair before I change the oil?

I appreciate anyone’s help.

Anyone give some advice? Also, if I wait until after I fix the leak on the front hub - I want to keep oil topped off, but there’s no way to see the level. Can you overfill it?

The rear is all lubed by UDT hydraulic fluid, so yea you need to change that.
The front can use UDT hydraulic fluid or 80W/90, both will do the same thing.
You really can't overfill the side cases, 1.6qts each case.
The front gear case is just one place not 2, right and left are connected.

Can or can’t overfill? Does the rear have drain and fill plugs or is it somehow connected to the hydraulic system? I don’t see anything in the manual and I don’t see where the drain or fill plugs are for the rear wheels?

Sorry, can not over fill the front side cases.
The rear is all lubed with hydraulic fluid so the fill is the main fill at the top of the case.
There is drain plugs on the inside of the finals, and at the bottom of the case.

On refilling the transmission case, there may be a full level plug on the clutch pedal side near where your foot will be when pressing the clutch down.

Yours could also have some type of sight glass .
