L2900 Steering Issue

I have developed a leak at the cylinder seal, drip...... drip......drip, when using. Chrome rod has some pitting, at the least I'll need seals and a rod. Almost had a stroke when I looked up the cylinder price, in the 1100. range. Is it any cheaper to buy the parts and fix it, anyone here have this venture?

no but I have a cylinder out in the shop, good shape, needs seals. I need to run out there anyway, I'll see if it's the one you need. I can't remember what it came off of.
