Hope you found a key for your tractor, let us know what you ended up doing if you don't mind.

Mine stays in the tractor unless we go out of town then I just drop it in the tool box on the tractor.

My spare key stays in my center console in my truck that way it is always with me like when I am away from the farm with the tractor at the deer land or wherever I may have the tractor.

Now my Honda ATV is another story. I hid the spare key back in the late 90's so in case I lost the primary key I could grab it. Some 20 years later I a have never found where I put it.......

Funny thing. My 96 L2350 key fits my 17 L2501. When I sold the 2350, I kept one key and use it on the 2501.

A whole year.... :p
I don't believe I've ever taken mine out in all they years I've owned it, :D
May not even come out!
I’ve only taken the key out of mine a couple times. If the tractors on the trailer, and I might have to stop somewhere for fuel or whatever, I don’t want anyone monkeying with the key. Otherwise, the key never comes out.

I always take it out when on a trailer, not sure how but have had a few come out while on the road. Never stopped and the key was gone, had to use the spare I keep in the truck. I leave it in all other times, figure if someone wants to steal it they will so why risk more damage in case I find it.

Probably under the seat(s)
Thats where i would put it.
When I bought mine, the PO gave me one key, but said he lost the second one.
About a year later, I pulled the seat off to fix the riser mechanism for the backhoe, and found the second key zip tied underneath.

Funny story. My Dad bought a used car and the original owner didn't have a spare key. So he has one made up and buys one of those magnetic holders to put it in. He goes to put it up underneath the front bumper and feels something. Yup, you guessed it, a magnetic key holder right in the spot where he was going to put his. We had a good laugh at that one!
