1978 l2850 Hydraulic leak coming from moisture drain plug.
There is a moisture drain plug underneath the seat under the tractor that drains condensation. Recently I have noticed that it is draining hydraulic fluid. I was told that the problem could be a tranny seal going bad. Has anybody else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? I am considering adding AT-205 seal restorer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the Split pin plug in the center under Bell housing?
As I wouldn't call that under the seat.

Under the seat there is a vent, if it's leaking from there you are over filled by a lot!

Split pin under the bellhousing leak is a completely different matter.
And NO do not use any snake oil sealer, as you can or will do some serious harm to the entire hydraulic system.
The only thing to do to fix it, is split it and replace the seals.
