L285 alternator not charging

The alternator is not charging on my L285. I tested the voltage and it was saying 12.5 V so I assume the alternator was bad. I bought a new alternator and put it on and still the exact same voltage that the battery is putting out. Would the problem be my voltage regulator? If so, is there a way to test the voltage regulator? Also, I know one of the wires coming out of the 3 wire plug on the alternator is going to the voltage regulator, but where is the other two wires going?Thanks for any help

I haven't checked for variations/differences between the 225 and 285, but there is a L285 wiring diagram in this manual, as well as other useful info for future use.

OH, I must have been dyslexic yesterday, some how I read 225 NOT 285

I believe this is from the same manual 100 td directed you to.....
