L2800 sluggish FEL and box blade

Your tractor is HST, correct? How does it move around? Driving-wise... it's the same pump (I think) that powers the FEL and 3PH.

Also, even if you got dirt in the sight glass hole, it would have to get through the filter before the pump...

It is HST...worried that it may be the pump-$$$- seems to drive fine- did not notice the jerky steering until yesterday- seems like the more times I raise the FEL the slower it goes and there is a noticeable additional noise besides the engine. Just seems like there is no fluid going to the loader and 3pt and now the steering.

Do you see a bubble in the sight glass? If not put some more in it. Sounds low.

I did. Fluid level is to the top of the sight glass.

That is what it seems like. I replaced the tube that usually the issue- one that runs behind the brake pedals- as I had that issue before. No help there. I was thinking of replacing the filter. Don't know of anywhere else that air might have access...

I assume it's a constant noise or is it only when you raise the FEL??

Noise is only when I raise the FEL. I pulled the hose going into the back side of the HST pump and had fluid running outof it so feel like it is getting to the pump. I took a video. Just got to get my kids or a 3 year old to help show me how to load it somewhere to share.

Next thing to check would be the system relief valve. (60-120)

I would check over these connections one last time for oil leaks.

my mx5200 is on its 3 rd clutch failure in less than 600 hours the last one has not lasted 100 hours.I have been using tractors for over 40 years and this is the first clutch problem i have ever had i believe kubota has a bad design for its clutch have had 300hp cars with same size clutch without failures

follow the FEL hoses down to where they go to the tractor

a lot of them had a little slotted head screw that was supposed to shut flow off to the FEL if it was not installed.

It's placed in an area that it's easy to turn, be it by trail debris, or whatever.

Worth looking at.

Three clutches in 600 hours is very obviously operator error.

clutches don't fail unless they're slipped excessively
300hp car engine often makes less torque than your tractor and often your car doesn't have to change directions often, nor is it asked to shove piles of gravel, dirt, snow, poop, whatever. Torque is what does the work and traction & load are the nemesis to work. How you approach the work vs load determines how long the clutch is going to last.

hence, for users that do many directional changes, hst is the only way to go
