Hi, I'm new to this forum and to be honest I'm new to Kubota. The only Kubota diesel I have ever worked on before was a D722E. Anyway, I have a friend who is an older gentleman who has a L2800 4wd tractor. It seems to be well built and maintained. When the fuel filter was changed the O ring was dropped and it was started and driven without the O ring on the settling bowl. Now it has a dead miss on #1. I have bled the injector and it does have fuel at the injector. I crack the nut on the line going into the injector and fuel comes out while it's running but it makes no difference. When cranking the engine the compression sounds totally normal. Is there a possibility the injector got some junk in it when the filter was changed? Also, what is the part number of the injector? It is a 2010 model. Thanks for any help.

How many hours on the tractor?
Does sound like the injector needs some TLC. Might be able to pull it and have cleaned/rebuilt. I am sure someone in Tulsa can get that taken care of - and if you pull one, ought to pull all three!

What 85Hokie said, if you go to a injection shop take all three to check spray pattern and pop-off pressure.

I had trouble getting a B7100 to start after being parked for over 2 years. Pulled the injectors and had them rebuilt. Fired right off after that. Complete rebuild with new seals and copper washers was right at $170.

Before you do anything with the injectors, get a quote for having them tested, rebuilt and a price for new ones. For me, the price difference for having them tested or rebuilt was only about $10 less each than getting new ones.

I agree possible faulty inj but engine missing could also be cyl head valve. How long since rocker arm clearance was checked?

Yes, get a quote for testing and rebuilding before having work done. You can buy new injectors from Coleman's for about $65 each.
