On the L2800-3400 tractor your foot clutch is the PTO clutch! Do not crunch the pto lever into gear on these tractors without declutching. It will last a while, but you will be creating work for me! If you have a DT model then you don't have any live or independent PTO. If a HST than when the hst pedal is in neutral the PTO still operates. the pto control on these tractors is a overrunning style sprag clutch. The L4400 has an independent multi-disc clutch for it's PTO It operates separately from the main clutch. I'm seeing some operators that are not running there PTO's properly leading to premature failure of the sprag clutch.

What about operating a tiller with a 2006 L2800DT? What is the preferred method and what size tiller do you recommend?

Thanks.

We recommend 60 inch tillers on the L2800. how you operate it would depend on soil conditions and other variables. the L2800 has plenty of power for a 60 inch tiller
