I'm about to tear down the engine in my L275. I don't yet know the extent of the damage, but it it sounds like it may have spun a bearing or damaged a piston. Cranking over it, you can hear compression-compression-clunk......compression-compression-clunk. Anyway I'm looking at parts and a crankshaft and rods looks pretty expensive for Kubota parts (if they're even available). If there are quality aftermarket parts I'm not against that, but I don't know what a good quality aftermarket engine part brand is for tractors. I have rebuilt numerous automotive engines so the labor does not bother me, but the time to get the tractor up and going has me considering a replacement engine. With that all said, I have a couple of questions:

What are the quality manufacturer's of replacement engine parts (if any)?
What engines will directly (or almost directly) swap with the D3102A?

Bumping this up and adding this question:

Is there anyone that sells remanufactured engines for these ready to go?

You highly unlikely to be able to find an off the self rebuilt engine.
If you were to find one, it's going to run you in the range of $4500 to $5500 plus shipping.

OEM rebuild parts are almost completely non existent for that old engine, there are some aftermarket out there.

Here are 2 examples of what to expect to find:
