You bet! I just got the rebuilt steering cylinder on today. So far no more leaking, thankfully. Not sure where the specialty tool comes into play… I just crammed it back in place and screwed the hydraulics back in. Then, off I went! And it definitely has C-clip rings on the flanges that are not on any diagram. Plus the original seals have been superceded by new part numbers that is not in any parts diagram for any L2650 model or the WSM. I'm guessing they had too many customers with leaks and changed the parts but never updated the manual.
Thanks for your help, guys!
Unfortunately, I don’t know what all was involved in getting it resealed - it was a luxury that I paid handsomely for, however. I could hardly believe they charged nearly $1200 to rebuild the seals and put new tie rod ends on. I mean good grief I did the tear down and install myself!
I know a technician has to make money too, but wow. Hence, the reason I avoid shops at all costs.
If you run into any more trouble let me know and we can put our heads together.
