I spent a couple of weekends with a soldering iron and shrink tubing in hand. Built a new harness for arount $75 in material. Stayed true to color code putting striping on new wire with magic markers. I eliminated most of the connectors by making a 1-piece harness.
My guess is you NEVER get into a argument or fight.... cause you have too much patience!!
Redoing a wiring harness is one thing, but making sure the replacement wiring matches the color coding is the reason I'd spent the same amount of time looking for one already made.
But I do know the feeling of accomplishment when a task like that if finished and works as expected.
