I know this has been talked about some but I am hoping for a way to confirm the issue. I have a 2022 l2501 that will occasionally lose power, sputter and smoke if I try to power through it. It currently has 90 hrs on it. I have had it to the dealer several times for this complaint starting around 40hrs. They cannot seem to replicate. Nor can I when I got in a drive around their yard. After some reading I am leaning towards the lift pump. But could the lift pump issues be extremely intermittent? I can go several days with no issue then it will run rough. If I idle it down and give it a minute it will generally come out of it. The dealer has been hesitant to try any diag or fix. I don’t fault them if it won’t do it while under their care. Now my warranty is up. I have gotten it on video which is how I got them to come get it last time. Is there any specific diag I can do for seemingly somewhat common lift pump issues? I do not like to just throw parts at something but I am getting frustrated with this basically new tractor. Thanks for insight.

Intermittent problems are the worst.

Your choices are seemingly limited at this point. (if it’s truly intermittent)

1) load the parts cannon, hope and pray.

2) wait for “whatever it is” to actually “go bad”.

Probably not what you wanted to hear.

I hate both options though.

What were you doing when it happened?

Any “common” thing like throttle position, turning, going up hill,….. eating a hamburger(JK)….etc?
