Just connected my loader to the tractor. Loader raises and lowers fine, but tractor won't move. I drove it to the loader and all was fine. I disconnected the loader hydraulic lines and it still won't move. What could be the prblem?

Thank you chim. That is exactly what happened! I feel so dumb. Tunnel vision had me thinking it was related to hooking up the loader.

You got off easy. From personal experience, I know that can happen and I'm happy for you that it's resolved before you were as dumb as I was. As a new member here you may enjoy a repeat of my cranial flatulence. Reader's Digest version:

Stopped tractor (Ford 1210) to go inside for a glass of water. Came out and no movement. Sometime earlier I had a clutch go all of a sudden. DANG, probably happened again. Pushed into the garage and hung front with a comealong and split the little troublemaker. Clutch looked fine. DANG again. Too mad to do anything well, so go for a shower. Replay over and over and then "Hmmm. Wonder if a clodhopper might have caught a lever as I "de-tractored". Yup.

Ohhhh……OOhhhh….is this turning into “dumbass story time”?

I’ll play……..

So there I was drilling out some bolts/rivets and I am pressing pretty hard, but the bits (way more than 1) keep getting dull.

So I press harder and harder and of course “increase the speed”……Well I start adding cutting fluid after my 5th or 6th bit…..Now smoke is POURING off the work piece, and I am “sweating like a whore in church” in the North Carolina 105 degree heat, and 150% humidity…….

As per normal, I am cursing at the top of my lungs, throwing shit around the shop, kicking shit, …….the whole 9 yards…..

When my buddy walks by laughing his ass off and says “Drill is in reverse….dumbass"

35 years later and those damn Jarheads still won’t stop the “bullying”…... :ROFLMAO:

EDIT: Welcome to the Asylum…... 🍻

It is an interesting result. How many times have we been in the process of fixing something (or trying to) and it just doesn't work? Out of frustration we take a break or start another job, and while doing something else the thought for the solution comes to mind.
