We have an older L2500 we bought it several years ago and it just keeps breaking.

Currently it won't crank, it seems to maybe be a saftey switch, the lights come on, we have tried jumping it but nothing happens.

I have gone through everything I can think, from checking all the switches to checking fuses and nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

I am posting a page from the WSM which shows three safety switches.

When you talk of jumping I assume you mean the battery.
You need to learn how to jump the starter but you need to realize there are real dangers doing this as your tractor can run a way or over you. Always have someone in the seat with the brakes applied.

The jumping involves applying battery voltage to the small terminal on the starter. It can be done with a piece of wire or a screwdriver. There will be a small spark and the engine should crank instantly.

If the engine wont crank when you do the starter jump you need to suspect battery or battery cables.

Invest in a 12 volt test light.

Attach the alligator clip to the battery negative. Touch the sharp end to the small terminal on the starter. Now turn the key to START. If the test light does not shine you have issues in the key switch or safety switches.
