What oil is recommended for the transmission/hydraulics? How often do you change it? do I need to drain all the old oil out before putting in the new?

Standard UDT would be fine for that geared tractor. You need 2 five gallon buckets - 6 gallon min needed, more if you have FEL
If new to you, may want to start fresh and drain old oil.
Changing the elongated oil screen would be prudent too. Cost $22
I would change every 200-400 hours

I use Traveler UTTF which is supposed to be similar to UDT but less expensive.
You can use that in the front axle or use 80/90 gear oil or something similar to that.
