I have l245dt and every once in a while the left rear wheel locks up. If I roll the tractor back a bit then go forward it will work fine. It only occurs after a complete stop about 1 in 5 times. Any clues on what I should be looking for to repair this?

Also, I can't find it in the owners manual. But how do I check the rear diff oil?

Thanks for the help.

I would start looking at all the brake linkage first. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be sticking some where.

The diff oil should check where you check the trans oil as they are the same .

Im with Bulldawg on this one, check the break linkage and take the wheel off and have a little looksee at the break drum. If you've ever did breaks on a vehicale the breaks on tractors are very similar.

I've been noticing the same thing on my new-to-me L185. It even seems to be the same wheel. I'll be watching this thread closely. As soon as I get a spare hour (ha!) I'll pull my wheel.

not real familiar with this model , but i believe most similar. check the brake cam for wear or possibly rust causing it to stick in place.
