Yes. JFYI, if the spin-on is on the tank return it only filters oil when you are operating the loader. The sump strainer filters full time and keeps "chunky stuff" from getting into the pumpI have a FEL with a hydraulic oil spin on filter on the outlet side, is the case screen still needed? I get icing in the winter even with a fall flush and fill.
I assume you mean on the loader valve. If placed there it will explode and make a big Hydraulic MacMess.Got it so its actually more useful to move the spin on filter to the hydraulic pump inlet?
Nope, I mean into the hard pipe before the inlet of the pump.I assume you mean on the loader valve. If placed there it will explode and make a big Hydraulic MacMess.
Dan
You would need to use a suction filter/head and it will likely make your current problem worse.Nope, I mean into the hard pipe before the inlet of the pump.
Without the strainer you are exposing the pump to a lot of particulate contamination. Maybe rhe better course of action would be to fix the underlying problem. Then its settled, FEL filter stays in place The screen filter remains out cause all im doing with it in is cavitating the pump and subsequently getting nothing done.
