I am changing the hydraulic (transmission) fluid in my L 2350DT. It has two fill caps- one under the seat and on behind the shifter. The filler cap behind the seat has the hydraulic return line from the front loader. Can I just fill from the cap behind the shifter or do I have to also fill from the one with the return line?

I am new to Kubotas- is there anything else I need to keep in mind? I plan on cleaning the hydraulic fluid filter also.

Thanks

Dasvid

Don't clean the hydraulic filter replace it! ;)
Yes you can fill from either port.
I'll send you a link to a service manual download and it includes all the specs.

I think mine only has a screen rather than a replaceable filter- I could not find a filter on it anywhere but a place where there is an internal screen. Should I replace the screen? Thanks for the help.

Yes replace the screen, they get corroded and clogged with age and it would not hurt it at all to get a new one.

I have another question. I am replacing the front wheel bearing seal- the seal has a metal lip on it and I am not sure what direction it goes and I cannot tell from the WSM. Any suggestions?

In the pic, the open side goes towards the oil or grease. Flat side faces away from grease. If it has a spring, that side goes towards grease or oil:)
