Hi all, recently purchased a l2350 from the original owner, with 570 hours. Since the fuel gauge wasn't working I yanked the cowling off, and saw lots of rust from mouse piss.

Fuel tank sending unit is very rusty and coming apart. Looking in the exploded view, it looks like the fuel tank and sending unit are considered 1 unit, and for the small sun of $1400!. Has anyone else run into this, or found a solution for a replacement?

I would use a rust stop. Paint it. Put it back together and fill it up every time I was done using it. Most people will not go through more then a tank a day. If you are one of those people refill at the lunch break.

And the old stand by..... a stick to dip into the tank.

Your tank looks identical to my L2250. Different part number (on coleman's website) probably because mine has two drain-back inlets, instead of one like yours. If the shape is pretty much identical, you can use the fuel gauge listed on my page under "electrical > switch and regulator" #31331-31202. $152. It's show as separate on your parts page, just not listed in the purchase column for some reason. I was going to buy one but repaired mine by bending the wiper back down to give it proper contact with the resistor.
