Hello guys, just trying to get some advice from owners who maybe had the same problem I have. I read and searched for this common problem on the L series but it appears my problem is not exactly that. The gear that is normally worn out for the reverse problem is the reverse idler gear but it's in perfect shape. Unfortunately, many gears around are worn out from being forced in position I guess when the tractor was still on the move. I have attached 3 pics of the gears. I would like to know if those gears are too much worn out or if they are maybe causing my problem. I put some blue lines where they have some worn out corners. When they are engaged though, they feel solid. I made sure the 3 little springs and ball bearings were there in the housing. Anybody has an idea where to go from here. Thank you
Pat
UPDATE: After playing a little I found out that the problem is actually the reverse fork. It was probably replaced and doesn't have quite the movement required to bring the reverse idler on top of the mating gear. I looked online to find the right part but the picture of the fork I would need doesn't look long enough but everybody is listing the same part #.
