L225 clutch and input shaft issue

I was changing my pressure plate and clutch because of a broken spring on the pressure plate. I noticed the shaft that the release hub slides on has about a 1/2 inch wear spot almost looks like it was meant to be. I'm curious if anyone has a picture or part # I have been looking online for one. Also the release hub catches on the worn area.

Yes you are right I got carried away with typing. It is a 1974 L225. And also to clarify it's the removable part that holds the transmission seal.

Is your L225 2-wheel drive? The Kubota parts list for the L225 shows 3 versions of this part,
depending on serial number. Need actual model and S/N to know the right part number.
The necked-down end of the part in the picture looks like it might be an intentional feature ??

Maybe I'm missing something, but that shaft with the shoulder on the end should fit into a pilot bearing.

On the worn area under the throw out bearing holder needs to be smooth enough the holder can slide freely on it.

Many models had a grease zerk to put a pump of grease in it once in a while. Many folks get the idea that grease zerk is to lube the throw out bearing. As you can see, that is not practical because the throw out bearing is sealed. The grease only lubes the shaft under the holder.

Maybe you should remove your flywheel and replace that pilot bearing since you're so close to it. It's an inexpensive item that takes a split tractor to replace. Do it now!!
