Hi all, does the L2201DT have a transmission/hydraulic fluid filter..? The L245DT is generally the same tractor and does have a filter but I cannot see in any manual that the L2201DT has one. Any comments appreciated…

My L2202DT has one same side as the engine oil filter.
Is it a filter same type as engine oil filter…ie external screw on canister type..?
I don’t know the difference between L2201DT and L2202DT.. I will research.

many thanks for your response..appreciated.

I don’t know what your tractor has but Kubota has a few types of filters for hydraulic systems:
Screw on similar to an oil filter
Canister style where the filter is inside a steel container
Screen type that is inside the transmission (on my L185)

IF you can find no external filter...then likely it has a filter 'screen' inside the trans case, which is accessed via a cover on the outside.

As an example (my L2350DT):

Yes it is but that really has no meaning, the tractor came with very small filters being used.

@Thunder Fish - are you talking about the two white filters in the picture? Isn’t one the fuel filter (left most white filter that is vertical)

In this picture of a L295 I see three filters and crudely marked them:
F is the fuel filter
O is the engine oil filter
H is the hydraulic fluid filter (canister filter type) as I understand it.
