Hi
I am a newbie to the tractor thing, but have some projects this year.
I recently purchased a L2201DT. In decent shape with a loader and an issue. The 4x4 wasn't working which was reflected in the price. So i took a chance, the machine will most likely do what i want in 2 wheel, but had to know why it didn't work.
After checking the propellor shaft was actually turning I turned my attention to the front end. One side felt like there was gears at play one didn't. Took that side apart and found i have a bevel 17 gear that is well shall we say shiny. The bevel gear 38 looks fine. I have checked the other side and it looks good. Suspect a tooth snapped and it was down hill from there.

I am getting my references from a L245 parts book I downloaded.
The part # it shows is 37720-43650 is this the same for my machine?

Are these available used? new?

Thanks in advance

Consider yourself lucky. My pops "exploded" the front diff on our L225DT and didn't wanna spend the cash to fix it. When i inherited it in '03, Kubota no longer made those parts. Took me 8 years of fruitless searches and $1.100 to finally get a used one.
